The Stone

Natural black agate in an elongated flat-slice form, cut from solid stone with no open banding. Each bar is a deep, even black with a polished surface that shifts with the light rather than sitting flat. Some pieces carry faint grey marbling, but the character here is uniformity: a clean architectural dark bar that reads as one block of colour from across a room.

This is the quiet option. If you want the stone itself to be the feature, the banded version is the one to look at.

Craftsmanship

The edge of each agate slice is electroformed in real metal: brass deposited directly onto the stone, not gold leaf or a surface coating that can rub off. The thick border provides a warm contrast to the cool black stone and follows the natural edge, so no two frames are quite alike. The mounting hardware is solid brass. Available in gold, silver and rose gold.

Black against ivory or white is the most reliable hardware pairing there is, and it suits a kitchen that is already finished or a study where the joinery is dark. Black and gold is the most requested pairing in the range, and the plain stone suits a cabinet that already has pattern or colour of its own.
