The Stone

White agate, but not quiet. This platter has an intensely faceted, crystalline surface: covered in fine cleavage planes and natural fracture faces that catch light from multiple directions at once. Where other white agate platters are smooth and cloud-like, this one is alive with texture: a sparkling, frosted quality that makes it look different from every angle. Bright white, near-opaque, and distinctly high-contrast against any dark surface it is placed on.

Craftsmanship

The stone is hand-cut into a large near-rectangular slab format. The edge is electroformed: real metal electrically deposited directly onto the stone, building a thick, solid, permanent border. Not paint, gilding, or gold leaf. Actual metal bonded to stone.
