Blue Agate Lazy Susan — Turntable Centrepiece

The Stone

One of the most saturated and visually striking pieces in the collection. The surface is assembled from blue agate cross-sections: each slice showing clear concentric banding from midnight-navy outer rings to vivid cerulean midtones to pale blue-white centres. The deep navy base between pieces adds depth, and silver-grey seam lines running throughout add a metallic contrast. Amongst the slices, a single amber-toned piece sits as a warm accent against the otherwise intensely cool palette. The overall effect is dramatic, rich, and oceanic.

Craftsmanship

Each agate cross-section is individually hand-cut and assembled into a circular mosaic. The pieces are fitted closely and enclosed within a rim that is electroformed: real metal deposited directly onto the stone edge, forming a permanent border that follows the natural contour of the disc. The assembly is then mounted on a smooth rotating bearing. The concentric banding within each slice remains fully visible in the finished piece.
