The Stone

Deep, rich, and unmistakably warm. The surface of this lazy susan is assembled from red and carnelian agate cross-sections, each slice showing bold concentric banding: rust-red and burnt sienna outer rings transitioning through caramel and amber to cream-white centres. Some pieces show tightly nested oval rings; others have broader, more open banding. The deep amber-brown base between pieces and the gold seam lines tie everything together. The full, geological warmth of carnelian agate at its most expressive.

Craftsmanship

Each agate cross-section is individually hand-cut and assembled into a circular mosaic. The pieces are fitted closely and enclosed within a rim that is electroformed: real metal deposited directly onto the stone edge, forming a permanent border that follows the natural contour of the disc. The assembly is then mounted on a smooth rotating bearing. The natural banding within each slice is preserved and fully visible in the finished piece.
