The Stone

Unlike the organic edge set, these squares do carry visible marking. Fine grey and white veins run across the black, and a few pieces show a pale band cutting corner to corner. Squared off, the contrast against the metal rim is the sharpest in the range.

Craftsmanship

Each coaster is cut square from a larger slab and the four edges are trued by hand, which is why the corners are never quite identical. Real metal is then electroformed onto the rim: deposited directly onto the stone in a thick, solid border. Not paint, not gilding, not gold leaf. It will not chip, rub off, or fade.
