Personalised House Number Plate – Brass on Stone Effect

The Plate

A clean rectangle with no ornament at all. The whole effect is in the surface. The recessed ground is textured like cut stone, rough and matt, and the numerals stand clear of it in polished gold. A thin raised border holds the edge and the house name runs beneath in smaller letters, over one line or two.

Modern enough for a new build, heavy enough not to look like plastic.

Craftsmanship

Real metal, formed over the sculpted shape rather than cast, so the stone texture holds its grain across the whole ground instead of flattening out. Raised gold, buffed back by hand, against a blackened ground. That contrast is what lets it read from a distance.

Placement

Choose a position where the lettering is easy to read. For a fully exposed gate, coastal site or an unusual mounting surface, contact us with a photograph before ordering so we can confirm suitability.

Personalisation

The number is yours, and the house or building name beneath it, set on one line or two. Written in any language: English, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Punjabi, Urdu, Bengali. Long names are welcome; the lettering is set to fit your name rather than your name cut to fit the plate. Send the spelling exactly as you want it and a design preview comes back by email for you to check.

Mounting

Choose your mounting style on this product page before adding the plate to your cart.

• Peel-off tape: three sealed strips across the back, no drilling at all. Best on a tiled or granite surface, or anywhere you would rather not make holes.
• Keyhole slots: two screws in the wall and the plate lifts on and off. Simplest permanent fix, easiest to level.
• Floating stud mount: four threaded studs on reinforced bosses, set into the wall so the plate stands a few millimetres clear. Throws a shadow line under the border and no fixing ever shows.

Where it works

A flat door, a gate pillar, a boundary wall, a porch. Best against concrete, granite, glass or anything else with a flat modern face. The stone texture gives it something to push against.

Gifting

A griha pravesh gift for someone whose home is contemporary rather than traditional. Also the safest choice when you have not seen the house, because it will not fight a single thing in it.

Care

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. No metal polish or scouring, the dark ground is meant to stay dark. For outdoor placement, confirm care and installation requirements with us.

Proof and production

We email a design proof with your wording. Production takes 5–7 days after approval, or starts 24 hours after the proof is sent if we have not heard from you. Delivery follows production; contact us before ordering for a date-sensitive gift.
