The Design

One continuous spiral coiled out from the centre, the gaps between the turns left open so the pattern reads clearly from above. It is a little deeper than the rest of the range, which gives it a proper rim and a stronger presence on a dining table.

Craftsmanship

Electroforming builds this tray. The spiral is sculpted as a core, and metal is then deposited onto that core layer upon layer until the coil you see is solid metal in its own right. Hand antiquing in India follows, running into the grooves between the turns while the raised coil stays bright, which keeps the pattern clear when you look down on it. Each piece is finished on its own, so slight variation between trays is expected.
