The Stone

Hematite cut as a faceted dome, with flat facets worked over the whole raised surface so light moves from facet to facet as you pass. The stone is a dark steel grey with a faint metallic sheen that comes from its iron content rather than any finish, and it is noticeably dense in the hand for its size.

Craftsmanship

Each stone is seated in an electroformed metal collar that grips it around the base. Electroforming grows real metal directly onto the stone rather than laying foil or gilt over it, so the collar follows the exact line where the dome meets the mount and stays bonded to the piece. The thread and fixings are solid brass. Available in gold, silver and rose gold.
