The Stone

Large amethyst chunks assembled into a flat circular surface. The colour is the real, complex character of natural amethyst: muted purple, grey-lavender, and dusty violet, with warm rust and ochre undertones where iron has stained individual pieces. Visible chevron banding within many chunks. The natural cleavage faces are left showing, giving the surface a raw, geological texture rather than a polished one.

Craftsmanship

Each amethyst chunk is individually cut and fitted into a circular mosaic, the raw cleavage faces sitting flush to create a surface with depth and natural variation. The outer rim circles the perimeter in electroformed real metal: your chosen finish bonded permanently to the surface, not a coating that sits on top and wears away. Two brass handles are fitted on opposing sides. Choose your style: Arch Scroll (curved arched handles with decorative scroll tops), Botanical Leaf (handles cast with leaf and branch detailing), or Royal Arch (rope-textured bar with acanthus-leaf scroll brackets). All are finished to match the rim.
