The Light Green Agate

Of the five stones in this range, this is the quietest. Light green agate chips read as pale seafoam, cool and faintly aqua, broken up by milky white pieces and a scattering of soft olive. The stone is associated with clarity and renewal, and it is the easiest of the five to sit alongside plain glassware on a table.

Craftsmanship

Each piece is made by hand. Genuine light green agate chips are applied one at a time around the lower half of the bowl, wrapping the glass in a broad band that narrows to a point where the bowl draws down into the stem. Real metal is then built up over the stone through an electroforming process, forming a thick, solid layer that locks each chip in place and finishes along the top edge in broad, leaf-like metal shapes that climb over the clear glass. The stem and foot are left as bare clear glass. Unlike paint or thin plating, this is solid deposited metal: it will not rub off, chip, or peel. The outermost layer is applied in your finish of choice: gold, silver, or rose gold.
