The Light Green Agate

The green here is cool and watery: a pale seafoam sitting somewhere between mint and aqua, broken up by milky white chips and a scattering of soft olive. Light green agate is associated with clarity and renewal. Each chip is natural, so the balance of pale green to white shifts from one chalice to the next.

Craftsmanship

Each piece is made by hand. Genuine light green agate chips are set one at a time around the lower half of a ribbed glass cup, and a second bed of chips is packed across the foot. Real metal is then built up over both through an electroforming process, forming a thick, solid layer that locks every chip in place and rises above the stone in tall, flame-like points that reach up over the clear glass. Between the two bands sits a small faceted glass knop, left clear. Unlike paint or thin plating, this is solid deposited metal: it will not rub off, chip, or peel. The outermost layer is applied in your finish of choice: gold, silver, or rose gold.
