The Stone

A warm, luminous surface built from a mosaic of honey-amber agate pieces. The palette runs from pale cream-white to deep caramel and warm amber-tan: the full range of golden-brown agate in a single disc. The centrepiece of the arrangement is a distinctive banded cross-section, showing clear concentric rings in grey-blue and white. The surrounding pieces show varied textures: some with rough, grainy druzy crystal faces, others smooth and polished with a gentle amber wash. Rich and varied without being loud.

Craftsmanship

Each stone piece is individually hand-cut and assembled into a circular mosaic. The pieces are fitted closely together and enclosed within a rim that is electroformed: real metal deposited directly onto the stone edge, forming a permanent border that follows the natural contour of the disc. The assembly is then mounted on a smooth rotating bearing. Gold seams between the pieces become part of the visual pattern.
