Brown Agate Cheese Platter — Gold, Silver or Rose Gold Edge

The Stone

There is an unmistakable boldness to this platter. The stone, warm caramel, tan, and ochre, has fractured through its full depth, and rather than conceal this, the makers have worked with it. The cracks are filled with dark mineral, creating bold graphic lines that run across the surface. The stone itself shows sweeping, polished flows of brown and amber between the fracture lines. The result looks part geological specimen, part contemporary art: and entirely unique.

Craftsmanship

The stone is hand-cut into a large slab format. Natural fractures within the stone are filled and stabilised with dark mineral resin, becoming an intentional part of the design. The edge is electroformed: real metal electrically deposited directly onto the stone. Not paint, gilding, or gold leaf. Actual metal bonded to stone.

A warm, earthy gift. The brown banding suits wood and leather interiors particularly well. Works well for housewarmings, Diwali, birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries. Particularly suited to those with a preference for raw, natural materials with graphic character.
