The Stone

Deeper and more mottled than the organic edge set. Broad white bands cut across the purple, and some pieces carry a tan or greyish patch where the mineral changed, so a set of four will not match closely.

Craftsmanship

Each coaster is cut square from a larger slab and the four edges are trued by hand, which is why the corners are never quite identical. Real metal is then electroformed onto the rim: deposited directly onto the stone in a thick, solid border. Not paint, not gilding, not gold leaf. It will not chip, rub off, or fade.

Specifications

Material: Natural amethyst agate
Shape: Hand cut square
Dimensions: Approx. 4 x 4 inches, 8mm thick
Finish options: Gold / Silver / Rose Gold
Set of 4
Non-slip pads on the base
Food safe

As each piece is naturally formed, colour, grain and pattern will vary. No two pieces are identical.

Gifting

A deep, jewelled gift. The square format gives the banding a hard edge to run into, which makes the pattern easier to read. Works well for weddings, Dhanteras, and birthdays.
