The Design

A snail with the shell spiral worked in raised relief and the body stretched forward off the mount, so the knob projects sideways rather than straight out. The shell carries the deepest patina and catches the most light.

Craftsmanship

Each knob is cast in solid brass and finished by hand with an antique patina, so the recesses hold a darker tone while the raised detail stays brighter and lifts further with handling. Small differences in patina and surface between pieces come from the casting and finishing rather than being faults. Screws are included.
