The Stone

Smoky quartz has a quality that photographs cannot fully capture: a depth and warmth that reveals itself with light. This platter is cut from a single slab — a warm taupe-grey with tone that varies subtly across the surface. Fine cross-hatched internal fracture lines are visible across the surface, catching the light in different directions as you move around the piece. Semi-translucent, calm, and visually sophisticated.

Craftsmanship

The stone is hand-cut into a large slab format. The edge is electroformed: real metal electrically deposited directly onto the stone, building a thick, solid, permanent border. Not paint, gilding, or gold leaf. Actual metal bonded to stone.
