The Stone

Natural Kambaba jasper in an elongated flat-slice form - one of the most visually distinctive stones in the range. A dark forest-green base stone with circular orbicular patterning in black and deep charcoal - the characteristic feature of Kambaba, a stromatolite fossil jasper. The roundels are distributed variably across the face of each piece, giving a prehistoric, almost otherworldly character to the surface. A deeply unusual and beautiful material for handles.

Craftsmanship

The edge of each jasper slice is electroplated with real metal - brass deposited directly onto the stone through an electroforming process, not gold leaf or surface gilding that can rub off. The gold border provides a warm accent to the deep cool greens of the stone. The mounting hardware is solid brass. Available in gold finish.
