The Stone

Soft lilac running to grape, mottled with grey and warm brown. Closer to a river stone than to a cut gemstone, and considerably gentler than the amethyst most people picture. Some bars carry more grey than purple, which is the nature of amethyst in slab form.

The most understated of the coloured stones, and the one that sits best on dark wood.

Craftsmanship

The edge of each slice is electroformed in real metal: brass deposited directly onto the stone, not gold leaf or a surface coating that can rub off. The warm border frames the violet without competing with it. The mounting hardware is solid brass. Available in gold, silver and rose gold.
