The Stone

Natural amethyst agate in an elongated flat-slice form: each piece a long bar of purple-violet stone. The colour of amethyst runs from mid-violet to a rich, saturated purple, with natural banding adding depth across the face of the stone. Semi-translucent in good light, with a warm jewel-like quality that is distinctly different from opaque purple dye. A richly coloured, unmistakably natural material.

Craftsmanship

The edge of each agate slice is electroplated with real metal: brass deposited directly onto the stone through an electroforming process, not gold leaf or surface gilding that can rub off. The warm gold border provides a luxurious frame to the violet stone. The mounting hardware is solid brass. Available in gold, silver, and rose gold finishes.
