The Stone

Pale marble in wide, landscape-oriented rectangular handles. The ground runs from off-white through to a soft celadon, with faint veining drifting across it, so a set can read closer to pale green than to pure white depending on the stone that comes through. The marble character is distinctly different from the banded agate handles elsewhere in the collection: quieter and more classical. The heavily textured, crinkled silver electroformed edges add a rich tactile detail to the rim.

Craftsmanship

Each handle is hand-cut from natural stone. The edge is then electroformed: real metal electrically deposited directly onto the stone, building a thick, solid, permanent rim. Not paint, gilding, or gold leaf. Actual metal bonded to stone. It will not chip, rub off, or fade.
