The Stone

These squares are cut from a warm, salmon toned quartz, closer to coral than to pink, with chalky white streaks running diagonally through most pieces. It is the warmest of the four rose quartz coaster sets and the only one that reads orange in daylight.

Craftsmanship

Each coaster is cut square from a larger slab and the four edges are trued by hand, which is why the corners are never quite identical. Real metal is then electroformed onto the rim: deposited directly onto the stone in a thick, solid border. Not paint, not gilding, not gold leaf. It will not chip, rub off, or fade.

Specifications

Material: Natural rose quartz
Shape: Hand cut square
Dimensions: Approx. 4 x 4 inches, 8mm thick
Finish options: Gold / Silver / Rose Gold
Set of 4
Non-slip pads on the base
Food safe

As each piece is naturally formed, colour, grain and pattern will vary. No two pieces are identical.

Gifting

A warm, unusual gift. Coral is a difficult colour to find in natural stone and it lifts a neutral table without shouting. Works well for weddings, anniversaries, and housewarmings.
