The Stone

Darker than the name usually implies. This is a deep slate charcoal, close to black in low light, with the banding tight enough that most pieces read as a single flat tone rather than layered. The raw broken edge is what breaks up the mass of colour.

Craftsmanship

Each coaster is hand cut from a single piece of natural stone and the outer edge is left as the slab broke, so no two silhouettes match. Real metal is then electroformed onto that edge: deposited directly onto the stone in a thick, solid border. Not paint, not gilding, not gold leaf. It will not chip, rub off, or fade.
