The Stone

These circles are cut from a cool, lavender toned quartz. It is barely pink at all: the face reads pale lilac with soft grey and white banding sweeping across it, and it sits closer to the amethyst end of the range than to the coral squares.

Craftsmanship

Each coaster is hand rounded from a slab of natural stone, worked down to a circle rather than machine cut, so the curve is never mathematically perfect. Real metal is then electroformed onto the rim: deposited directly onto the stone in a thick, solid border. Not paint, not gilding, not gold leaf. It will not chip, rub off, or fade.
