The Rose Quartz

Expect a pale stone rather than a pink one. Rose quartz carries associations with love, harmony, and calm, and the chips set on this glass are frosted milky white with only the faintest warm blush through them, reading nearer to cream than to rose in most light. Every chip is natural, so the shade shifts a little from glass to glass.

Craftsmanship

Each piece is made by hand. Genuine rose quartz chips are applied one at a time around the lower half of the bowl, wrapping the glass in a broad band that narrows to a point where the bowl draws down into the stem. Real metal is then built up over the stone through an electroforming process, forming a thick, solid layer that locks each chip in place and finishes along the top edge in broad, leaf-like metal shapes that climb over the clear glass. The stem and foot are left as bare clear glass. Unlike paint or thin plating, this is solid deposited metal: it will not rub off, chip, or peel. The outermost layer is applied in your finish of choice: gold, silver, or rose gold.
