The Stone

A platter built entirely from individual agate cross-sections: each one a window into a different moment of the same stone. The slices range from deep carnelian-red and warm rust to dark chocolate-brown and translucent cream-white. Every piece shows its own concentric banding: rings of colour, each one unique. Packed together in a near-rectangular form, they read as a whole, a warm, earthy mosaic, while each individual slice remains distinct on closer inspection.

Craftsmanship

Each agate cross-section is individually hand-cut and then assembled together with a gold mineral filler that becomes part of the pattern. The slices are fitted closely and set within an electroformed metal border. No two assemblies will be arranged identically.
