The Stone

This platter takes a quieter approach. The stone is a flat, opaque smoky grey — dense, even, with a finely granular surface that gives it a slightly matte quality. There is no translucency, no banding: the colour is consistent across the full slab. Subtle diagonal fracture lines catch the eye on close inspection. The edge is natural and tattered, with a distinctly raw character. A stone for interiors that prefer restraint.

Craftsmanship

The stone is hand-cut into a large slab format. The edge is electroformed: real metal electrically deposited directly onto the stone, building a thick, solid, permanent border. Not paint, gilding, or gold leaf. Actual metal bonded to stone.
