The Stone

Agate in teal, emerald and sea green, several of the pieces opening into white crystalline patches, with occasional rust and umber markings running through the darker stone.

The Design

Angular pieces of agate are set edge to edge and bound in clear resin to form a single firm face, its outline left irregular and finished in metal. The edge is electroformed: real metal deposited directly onto the raw stone, building a thick, permanent border. Not gold leaf or gilding, so it will not chip, peel or rub off.
