The Stone

A stone of strong contrasts. The stone combines raw, dark charcoal-black druzy crystal with translucent steel-blue agate — two entirely different materials in strong contrast, with the boundary between them natural and abrupt. The dark interior is rough and unpolished; the blue band glassy and smooth. The landscape-oriented slab is edged all around in electroformed metal.

Craftsmanship

The stone is hand-cut into a large slab format, slicing through both the outer agate and the druzy interior to reveal this cross-section. The edge is electroformed: real metal electrically deposited directly onto the stone. Not paint, gilding, or gold leaf. Actual metal bonded to stone.
