The Stone

Labradorite is a dark, dramatic stone: its base colour runs from deep charcoal and slate grey to blue-tinged black. What makes it exceptional is labradorescence: a vivid iridescent flash of colour that shifts across the surface as the light angle changes. Blues, teals, and occasional greens appear and disappear as you move the piece, giving each handle a depth that no other stone quite matches. The intensity of the flash varies naturally from handle to handle.

Craftsmanship

Each handle is a hand-cut slab of labradorite, fitted with a gold metal edge applied through electroforming: a process where real metal is electrically deposited directly onto the stone surface. This creates a bond far more durable than paint or conventional gilding, with a crisp finish that follows the stone's natural edge. The gold stainless steel blades complement the warm metalwork on each handle.
