The Stone

Labradorite is a grey-green stone best known for its iridescent optical flash - a phenomenon called labradorescence where blue, green, gold, or copper shimmer appears and shifts across the surface as the viewing angle changes. The flat-cut face of each knob starts as a cool grey-green, then catches the light differently depending on where you stand. No two pieces flash exactly the same colour or intensity.

Craftsmanship

Each slice is framed in thick electroplated brass - real metal deposited directly onto the stone's edge. The gold border provides a warm, contrasting frame for the cool, iridescent stone. The fixing stud and cap are also solid brass.
