The Stone

Turquoise green shot through with concentric rings of white and pale grey, each ring a growth line left as the agate filled a cavity. The green is closer to jade than to grass, and no two squares carry the rings in the same place.

Craftsmanship

Each coaster is cut square from a larger slab and the four edges are trued by hand, which is why the corners are never quite identical. Real metal is then electroformed onto the rim: deposited directly onto the stone in a thick, solid border. Not paint, not gilding, not gold leaf. It will not chip, rub off, or fade.
