The Green Agate

Green agate here is pale rather than deep: cream and soft sea green running into a light jade across a single chip, formed as silica-rich solutions crystallised inside rock cavities over millions of years. The band reads light and fresh against clear glass, and the colour shifts chip to chip rather than holding one tone.

Craftsmanship

Each piece is made by hand. Genuine green agate crystal chips are applied one at a time around the lower half of the flute's bowl, following the cone of the glass so the band reads as a tapering drop of stone that comes to a point where the bowl narrows into the stem. Real metal is then built up over the stone through an electroforming process, forming a thick, solid layer that locks each chip in place and finishes in a raw, organic crown along the top edge of the band, where the stone meets the clear glass. The stem and foot are left as bare clear glass. Unlike paint or thin plating, this is solid deposited metal: it will not rub off, chip, or peel. The outermost layer is applied in your finish of choice: gold, silver, or rose gold.
