The Stone

Real amethyst: not the vivid purple of jewellery photographs, but the quieter, more complex character of the natural stone. The surface is assembled from large amethyst chunks, each showing its natural cleavage face in muted purple, grey-lavender, and dusty violet, with warm rust and ochre undertones from natural iron inclusions. Visible chevron banding within individual pieces. Raw, geological, and genuinely interesting.

Craftsmanship

Each amethyst chunk is individually cut and set into a flat square mosaic within a metal frame: the raw, unpolished faces held within a clean geometric boundary. The frame runs along each side, electroformed in your chosen finish. This means real metal is deposited directly onto the surface. It becomes part of the object rather than a coating, so it won't chip, peel, or rub off. A pair of brass handles is mounted through the frame on each side. Choose your style: Arch Scroll (curved arched handles with scroll tops), Baroque Scroll (ornate handles with elaborate scrollwork detailing), Botanical Leaf (cast handles with flowing leaf and branch motifs), or Royal Arch (rope-textured bar handles with acanthus-leaf scroll brackets). All are finished to match the frame.
