The Stone

Deep royal blue with gold pyrite scattered through it and irregular white calcite patches breaking the field. The blue is entirely natural. It is the same blue the stone comes out of the ground with.

Craftsmanship

Each coaster is cut square from a larger slab and the four edges are trued by hand, which is why the corners are never quite identical. Real metal is then electroformed onto the rim: deposited directly onto the stone in a thick, solid border. Not paint, not gilding, not gold leaf. It will not chip, rub off, or fade.
