About the Stone

Black Agate has a depth that very few stones match: an almost opaque darkness with a faint grey lustre at the surface, and natural banding that only becomes visible when the light catches it at the right angle. Each slab is hand chipped to its own organic edge, giving the piece a sculptural quality. The contrast between the black stone face and the electroformed metal border is immediate and striking, making this one of the most graphic pieces in the collection.

Craftsmanship

The stone edge is finished by electroforming, where real metal is permanently bonded to the raw stone, building up a thick, textured border that will not chip, peel, or fade. The mechanism is a ticking quartz movement powered by 1 AA battery. The display stand is finished in the same metal as the edge. The clock can be kept on the stand or wall-mounted using the hook at the back.
