The Stone

Aqua agate cut into full round disc shapes: the circular form shows the stone's natural concentric banding at its most dramatic, with rings radiating outward from the centre of each handle. The colour is a luminous pale aqua-mint. The round handle form is the most distinctive in the cutlery collection, unlike anything else in the range.

Craftsmanship

Each handle is hand-cut from natural stone. The edge is then electroformed: real metal electrically deposited directly onto the stone, building a thick, solid, permanent rim. Not paint, gilding, or gold leaf. Actual metal bonded to stone. It will not chip, rub off, or fade.

Where it works

On a sideboard for a cheese course, on the kitchen island, or left out between meals as a serving piece. Aqua agate runs from pale sea green through to a deeper teal, and the banding differs from one slab to the next. A slice is a thinner cut, so the banding runs closer together across the face.
